Founded by former Southwest Airlines executive David Neeleman, JetBlue Airways began operations from JFK International Airport in January 2000. During its brief history, JetBlue has become a leading model of the "low-cost carrier" (LCC) concept, and a dominant force in the modern U.S. airline industry. Each aircraft in JetBlue's fleet is christened with a name that incorporates the word "blue", such as "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Blue Suede Shoes". This image depicts N504JB "Shades of Blue", the first aircraft placed into service by the new company.
"Shades of Blue" fine art print measures 19" x 26" and was published in 2003 from an original oil painting. This print is signed and numbered by the artist and is limited to an edition of 400 copies. Each print is suitable for framing.
